Island Mission Uganda
Island Mission Uganda is a program which was initiated in 2006 with a goal to reach out to remote areas in the islands of Lake Victoria in Uganda. We aim to improve the life of people living with HIV/AIDS, most especially the children, as well as provide integrated health services in the islands (with a focus on primary healthcare). We initially started by covering one island, and have now expanded coverage to eight islands and three landing sites. Our area of coverage is within the Wakiso, Kalangala and Mukono Districts.
